Regular Season Round 18: Cadi La Seu - Al-Qazeres 68-56

An interesting game took place in Seu D'urgell where 6th ranked Al-Qazeres (9-9) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Cadi La Seu (8-10) 68-56 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Cadi La Seu. Al-Qazeres managed to win second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Mali power forward Meiya Tirera (186-86) who scored 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American point guard Jude Schimmel (168-93, college: Louisville) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian-Italian center Dubravka Dacic (201-85) who recorded 20 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Ameryst Alston (175-93, college: Ohio St.) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively. Cadi La Seu moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Gipuzkoa UPV and Mann Filter. Newly promoted Al-Qazeres dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Cadi La Seu will meet higher ranked Araski (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Al-Qazeres will play against Gipuzkoa UPV and hope to secure a win.
