Regular Season Round 22: Asseco II - Domino Inowr. 90-66

The most important game in the last round took place in Gdynia between third ranked Domino Inowr. (12-8) and fifth ranked Asseco II (13-8) on Saturday night. Domino Inowr. was crushed by Asseco II on the road 90-66. Asseco II dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Domino Inowr.'s 26. Asseco II forced 22 Domino Inowr. turnovers. Wojciech Czerlonko (195-95) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Bartosz Jankowski (193-96) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Asseco II players scored in double figures. Asseco II's coach Milos Mitrovic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Mateusz Marciniak (190-90) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and Krzysztof Kozlowski (198-92) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Asseco II moved-up to fourth place in Group A. Domino Inowr. at the other side dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Goleniow. Asseco II will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Domino Inowr. will play at home against Tarnovia (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
