The game in Houthalen supposed to be also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Kangoeroes (9-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Houthalen (4-11). Kangoeroes smashed Houthalen 82-55. The game without a history. Kangoeroes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Houthalen's 24. Kangoeroes forced 23 Houthalen turnovers and outrebounded them 37-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Kangoeroes especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. The former international Jana Raman (185-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds. American center Vicky McIntyre (201-92, college: ORU, agency: LBM Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Kangoeroes' coach Gerrit Driessens felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international center Jaleesa Maes (188-92) answered with 14 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Annelies Blommaers (176-83) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Houthalen. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kangoeroes. They moved-up to fifth place. Houthalen at the other side keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Kangoeroes will play against KB D-Glas (#11) in Oostende in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Houthalen will play on the road against Liege and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
