No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked Palma (11-11) beat 17th ranked Magia Huesca (5-17) in S'Arenal 79-72 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-72. It was a very good performance for forward Asier Zengotitabengoa (201-88) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Carles Bivia (189-85) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Palma players scored in double figures. Serbian Andrija Simovic (203-95) replied with 21 points and 7 rebounds and center Alberto Fontet (213-86) added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Magia Huesca. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Palma maintains eleventh position with 11-11 record. Loser Magia Huesca keeps the seventeenth place with 17 games lost. Palma will face higher ranked Araberri (#8) in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Magia Huesca will play at home against Leche Rio Breogan (#6) and hope to win that game.
