Sixth ranked Akita Happinets (9-27) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Shiga L-Stars (7-29) 74-73 in the game for the fifth place. The guests were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 30-27 run, which allowed them to win the game.
