Regular Season Round 19: Tromso - Kongsberg 65-92

BLNO top team - Kongsberg (20-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Tromso (8-14) 92-65. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Tromso. The game without a history. Kongsberg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 62.1 percent from the field. Kongsberg shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Oivind Lundestad (194-91, college: Point Loma) who helped to win the game recording 28 points (perfect behind the arc making all seven shots !!!). Croatian guard Tomislav Gabric (198-91, college: Ft.Hays State) contributed with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Kongsberg players scored in double figures. Guard Hani Issalhi (191-84) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Johannes Lange (175-98) added 14 points in the effort for Tromso. Tromso's coach Kenneth Webb already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Kongsberg. They maintain first place with 20-2 record. Tromso at the other side keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. Kongsberg's next round opponent will be Gimle BBK (#5) in Bergen. Tromso will play on the road against Nidaros Jets in Tromdheim and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
