They made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Houthalen outrebounded Soba 44-26 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Chiel Koonings (180-90) who helped to win the game recording 21 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and forward Bart Maesen (198-89) who added 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Houthalen players scored in double figures. Amaury Marion (199-91) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Mitchel Gorremans (191-85) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Houthalen have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser Soba dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Houthalen will meet Ekeren (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Soba will play against Melsele (#9) and hope to secure a win.
