The game in Andorra was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Baskonia (13-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Andorra (10-9). Baskonia managed to secure a 9-point victory 91-82. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Andorra won third quarter 24-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Baskonia made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Shane Larkin (180-92, college: Miami, FL) who scored 21 points and 9 assists. Italian power forward Andrea Bargnani (213-85) chipped in 21 points. Georgian center Giorgi Shermadini (217-89) produced 25 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and swingman David Navarro (189-83) added 12 points respectively for the hosts. Four Andorra players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Baskonia maintains fifth position with 13-6 record. Andorra at the other side keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. Baskonia's next round opponent will be Blusens Monbus (#15) in Santoago de Comp and are hoping to win another game.
