Regular Season Round 32: Jiangsu TX MK - Zhejiang GB 114-112

A very close game took place in Jiangsu between Jiangsu TX and Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank. Eighteenth ranked Jiangsu TX (8-24) got a very close home victory over 15th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (10-22). Jiangsu TX managed to escape with a 2-point win 114-112 on Sunday evening. Jiangsu TX outrebounded Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank 54-36 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by American guard Jared Cunningham (193-91, college: Oregon St.) who scored that evening 42 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Nigerian-American power forward Ikechukwu Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) supported him with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Even 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists by American guard Lorenzo Brown (196-90, college: N.Carolina St.) did not help to save the game for Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank. His fellow American import point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma) added 31 points and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the guests. Five Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Jiangsu TX moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with North Control B. Loser Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank keeps the fifteenth position with 22 games lost. Jiangsu TX will meet higher ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (#13) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against Jiangsu Dragons in Nanjing and hope to secure a win.
