Not a big story in a game when 20th ranked Guangzhou (5-27) lost to seventeenth ranked North Control (8-24) in Beijing 100-109 on Sunday. North Control made 29-of-36 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game, while Guangzhou only scored nine points from the stripe. Guangzhou was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Errick McCollum (185-88, college: Goshen) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 6 rebounds. Uruguayan-Spanish power forward Esteban Batista (208-83, agency: Duran International) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American swingman D.J. Kennedy (198-89, college: St.John's) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Iranian forward Mohammad Samad Nikkhah Bahrami (199-83) added 20 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Guangzhou.
