Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked Yokohama BC (14-22) was defeated at home by third ranked Chiba Jets (23-13) 78-65 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 47-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Chiba Jets looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Kosuke Ishii (182-87) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. At the losing side American-Bulgarian center Jason Washburn (210-90, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Takuya Kawamura (193-86) scored 14 points and 6 assists. Chiba Jets maintains third place with 23-13 record having eight points less than leader Tochigi Brex. Loser Yokohama BC keeps the fifth position with 22 games lost. Chiba Jets will face league's second-placed Diamond Dolphins in Nagoya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Yokohama BC will play on the road against Akita Happinets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
