Regular Season Round 36: Shinshu BW - Hiroshima D. 79-81

Sixth-ranked Shinshu BW (10-25) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Dragonflies (28-6) in Nagano. The visitors from Hiroshima managed to secure only two-point victory 81-79. However their fans expected much easier game. Dragonflies forced 23 Shinshu BW turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Shinshu BW was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Aziz N'Diaye (213-88, college: Washington) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks and American forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas) who added 16 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Dutch power forward Jeroen van der List (213-89, college: Indian Hills CC) with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds and Canadian center Chad Posthumus (211-91, college: Morehead St.) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Dragonflies have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 28-6 record. Shinshu BW lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 25 games lost. Dragonflies will play against league's second-placed Nishinomiya S. in Hyogo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shinshu BW will play on the road against Yamagata (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
