Regular Season Round 18: Campus Promete - Zamarat 67-71

An interesting game took place in Logrono where higher ranked Campus Promete (9-9) was upset on its own court by twelfth ranked Zamarat (6-12) 71-67. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Campus Promete. It looked good early as Campus Promete took a 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Zamarat took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 4 points. American point guard Starr Breedlove (168-93, college: UTEP) notched 24 points to lead the effort and Serbian guard Nina Bogicevic (181-89) supported her with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Even 22 points and 4 assists by Italian-Australian guard Nicole Romeo (168-89, college: Washington) did not help to save the game for Campus Promete. American guard Robyn Parks (183-92, college: VCU) added 17 points and 6 rebounds. Zamarat maintains twelfth position with 6-12 record. Campus Promete at the other side keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Zamarat will play against league's second-placed Argon Uni Girona at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Campus Promete will play against CREF Hola in Madrid and hopes to get back on the winning track.
