Regular Season Round 12: Saitama Bron. - Otsuka A. 71-85

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Otsuka A. (14-6) beat on the road 7th ranked Saitama Broncos (5-17) 85-71 on Sunday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Otsuka A.'s pressure prevailed and they won that period 25-18 extending their advantage to 14 points. They made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Otsuka A. outrebounded Saitama Broncos 43-31 including 28 on the defensive glass. American players dominated also this game. It was a good game for forward Ray Raymond (203-84, college: Wisconsin) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) contributed with 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Brent Jennings (193-88, college: So.Poly State, agency: Interperformances) replied with 26 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Cyrus Tate (203-85, college: Iowa) added 7 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Otsuka A. maintains third position with 14-6 record having eight points less than leader Fukuoka Rizing. Saitama Broncos lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 17 games lost. Otsuka A. will face league's second-placed Kanazawa Sam. in Ishikawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Saitama Broncos will play on the road against Tokyo Cinq R. (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
