Regular Season Round 19: Orzinuovi GaGa - Desio 82-84

Important game to mention about took place in Orzinuovi. Tenth ranked Desio (8-11) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging leader Orzinuovi GaGa (16-3) 84-82 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Orzinuovi GaGa. It was a great evening for forward Andrea Negri (193-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 4 assists. Forward Marco Torgano (197-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) helped adding 19 points. Desio's coach Davide Villa allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side the former international Rodolfo Valenti (198-80) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and guard Antonio Ruggiero (190-81, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 17 points and 5 assists. Four Orzinuovi GaGa players scored in double figures. Desio moved-up to ninth place in B, which they share with Milano Urania. Orzinuovi GaGa at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with Bergamo. Desio will play against higher ranked Faenza (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Orzinuovi GaGa will play against Volpino AltoSeb. (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
