Very important is a home loss of second ranked Treviso Basket (14-6) against ninth ranked Jesi (10-10) on Sunday night. Host Treviso Basket was defeated by Jesi in a tough game in Treviso 71-76. Strangely Treviso Basket outrebounded Jesi 42-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. American point guard Timothy Bowers (188-82, college: Mississippi St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. The other American import forward Dwayne Davis (196-89, college: S.Mississippi) contributed with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Jesi players scored in double figures. Swingman Matteo Negri (194-91, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Jesse Perry (200-89, college: Arizona) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Treviso Basket. Treviso Basket's coach Stefano Pillastrini tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Jesi maintains ninth position in A2 with 10-10 record. Treviso Basket at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost. Jesi will play against higher ranked Piacenza (#8) in Casalpusterlengo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Treviso Basket will play at home against the league's leader Virtus Bologna (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
