We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh ranked Porvoon Tarmo (8-11) defeated at home 6th ranked Forssan Koripojat (8-12) 103-90 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 103-90. Porvoon Tarmo made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Strangely Forssan Koripojat outrebounded Porvoon Tarmo 42-25 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Porvoon Tarmo looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Cameron Clark (190-93, college: Southwestern, KS) who scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. Forward B.J. Cardarelli (203, college: S.New Hampshire, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) chipped in 26 points and 4 assists. Swingman Roderick Flemings (203-87, college: Hawaii) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 22 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Bruce Reed (202-90, college: Pikeville) added 21 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Porvoon Tarmo moved-up to sixth place in Division. Loser Forssan Koripojat dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. Porvoon Tarmo will face Jarvenpaa (#8) on the road in the next round. Forssan Koripojat will play against ToPo and hope to win that game.
