Very expected game when 10th ranked Agustinos-Leclerc (9-10) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Meridiano Alicante (13-7) 89-68. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian power forward Luka Nikolic (209-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Alvaro Lobo (192-92, agency: Duran International) contributed with 18 points and 5 assists for the winners. Lobo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Meridiano Alicante players scored in double figures. Meridiano Alicante's coach Miguel Angel Zapata felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. British center Jack Crook (211-93, college: Seattle) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Jose Medina (185-93) added 15 points, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Agustinos-Leclerc. Meridiano Alicante moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Agustinos-Leclerc keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Meridiano Alicante's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Zamorano (#16) on the road which should be another easy win for them. Agustinos-Leclerc will play against Zornotza (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
