Another exciting game was between fifth ranked Arxil Pontevedra and 6th ranked Barcelona where Arxil Pontevedra (10-7) beat Barcelona (9-8) on the road 65-60. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Barcelona won third quarter 18-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Arxil Pontevedra won last quarter 18-14. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Barcelona's 30. Forward Maria Lago (-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Mali center Minata Keita (190-89) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Laura Lopez (171-85) answered with 20 points and forward Ana Alonso (187-90) added 17 points in the effort for Barcelona. Arxil Pontevedra have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Barcelona at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with GDKO Bizkaia. Arxil Pontevedra will play against Ponce Valladolid (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
