There was a small surprise when fifteenth ranked Sestu (5-15) defeated at home 13th ranked Volpino AltoSeb. (6-13) 84-79 on Sunday. It was a very good performance for point guard Mauro Graviano (180-89) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Giuliano Samoggia (200-83) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Sestu players scored in double figures. Sestu's coach Marco Sassaro used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Simone Centanni (185-91, agency: Interperformances) answered with 20 points and 5 assists and power forward Michele Squeo (206-89) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Volpino AltoSeb.Newly promoted Sestu maintains fifteenth place in B with 5-15 record. Loser Volpino AltoSeb. dropped to the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Sestu will face higher ranked Crema (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
