Regular Season Round 12: Tokyo HT - Kanazawa Sam. 60-77

An interesting game for Kanazawa Sam. (18-2) which played road game in Tokyo against 4th ranked Tokyo HT (13-9). Second ranked Kanazawa Sam. had an easy win 77-60. The game was mostly controlled by Kanazawa Sam.. Tokyo HT was better in third quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Ide Yuji (181-88) who added 15 points during the contest. Four Kanazawa Sam. players scored in double figures. Kanazawa Sam.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Brian Harper (206-84, college: Paine) with 28 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and his fellow American import power forward Edward Morris (204-84, college: Pittsburg St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Kanazawa Sam. have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 18-2 record having 2 victories less than leader Fukuoka Rizing. Tokyo HT at the other side keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. Kanazawa Sam. will play against Otsuka A. (#3) in Tokyo in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tokyo HT will play on the road against the league's leader Fukuoka Rizing and hopes to get back on the winning track.
