Regular Season Round 19: Campli - Matera 87-67

The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Campli's (12-4) home victory over 7th ranked Matera (10-7) 87-67 on Sunday. Quite impressive performance for forward Simone Gatti (202-82) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Forward Bruno Duranti (197-93) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Stefano Laudoni (195-89) answered with 21 points and point guard Gionata Zampolli (189-85) added 14 points in the effort for Matera. Matera's coach Roberto Miriello rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Campli moved-up to fifth place in B. Loser Matera keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Campli will face Senigallia (#9) on the road in the next round. Matera will play against Valdiceppo and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the Serie A2 just one year after relegation.
