The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Calvia as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group C-A. Calvia defeated 4th ranked AEC Collblanc at home 73-59. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of AEC Collblanc. The game was mostly controlled by Calvia. AEC Collblanc was better in fourth quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Power forward Jose Maria Morales (205-89) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Bernardo Garcia (183-92) chipped in 15 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest. Four Calvia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Roger Juan (200-82) with 20 points and Cuban center Rangel Ramirez (206-75) scored 4 points and 7 rebounds. AEC Collblanc's coach Jose Marsa rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Calvia have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Menorca and Martorell. AEC Collblanc at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. AEC Collblanc will play next round against Barna trying to get back on the winning streak. Calvia will try to continue on its current victory against thirteenth ranked Mataro at home.
