Regular Season Round 19: Cento - San Vendemiano 89-61
Date: February 5, 2017
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Cento (13-6) crushed at home 14th ranked San Vendemiano (5-14) 89-61 on Sunday. Cento made 23-of-25 free shots (92.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. San Vendemiano was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for forward Davide Andreaus (202-86) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!). Forward Luca Pignatti (198-86) contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Cento players scored in double figures. Forward Edoardo Rossetto (199-94) answered with 19 points and point guard Michele Antelli (183-98) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for San Vendemiano. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cento maintains fourth place in B with 13-6 record. Newly promoted San Vendemiano keeps the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Cento will face Milano Urania (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. San Vendemiano will play against Padova (#8) and hope to win that game.
