No shocking result in a game when second ranked Eskilstuna (9-1) crushed at home 8th ranked Hoganas (2-9) 102-68 on Sunday. The game without a history. Eskilstuna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Hoganas' 42 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Eskilstuna forced 25 Hoganas turnovers and outrebounded them 52-27 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Quite impressive performance for British-Cameroonian forward Franck Kouagnia (201-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. Guard Hannes Widell (183-94) contributed with 24 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Eskilstuna's coach Steven Hopkins felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard Dwight Bankhead (181-83) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and Lithuanian guard Evaldas Juozapaitis (189-84) added 20 points in the effort for Hoganas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Eskilstuna have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position in BEHS forts with 9-1 record behind leader IK Eos. Loser Hoganas keep the eighth place with nine games lost. Eskilstuna will face Helsingborg (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hoganas will play against Talje Knights (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
