Regular Season Round 19: Isernia - Rimini 67-62

There was an upset when higher ranked Rimini (9-8) lost on the road to thirteenth ranked Isernia (6-12) 67-62 on Sunday. Isernia forced 22 Rimini turnovers and outrebounded them 32-19 including 26 on the defensive glass. Quite impressive performance for naturalized Albanian power forward Klaudio Patani (197-96) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Mattia Norcino (185-93) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. The former international center Francesco Foiera (207-75, agency: Interperformances) answered with 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and swingman Leonardo Battistini (194-95) added 17 points in the effort for Rimini. Four Rimini players scored in double figures. Rimini's coach Andrea Maghelli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Isernia moved-up to twelfth place in B. Loser Rimini keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. Isernia will face Venafro (#16) on the road in the next round.
