Regular Season Round 14: Ullern - Bergen 81-40

Kvinneligaen top team - Ullern (13-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Bergen (2-12) in Oslo 81-40. The game without a history. Ullern led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Bergen to just 5 points in second and fourth quarters. Ullern dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Bergen's 14. They outrebounded Bergen 35-18 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ullern players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Bergen's players. The former international power forward Tori Halvorsen (183-88, college: American) scored 12 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Anniken Frey (162-0) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Ullern's coach Gunnar Nesbo felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Sigrid Hardie (163-94) responded with 12 points and guard Kaia Brendesaeter (169-99) scored 8 points. Ullern have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-0 record. Bergen at the other side stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. Ullern will play against Asker (#3) in Rykkinn in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Bergen will play at home against the league's second-placed Ulriken and hopes to get back on the winning track.
