Top ranked Capitalinas (7-3) recorded its third loss in La Habana on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Camaguey (5-5) 60-49. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Capitalinas. The game was mostly controlled by Camaguey. Capitalinas managed to win third quarter 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Capitalinas to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Forward Lissandra Vargas (180-96) fired 27 points and 5 steals for the winners. International forward Leidis Oquendo (180-82, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 13 points. Center Fasirett Mesa (189-88) produced 5 points and 9 rebounds and international Suchitel Avila (184-82) added 6 points respectively for lost side. Capitalinas' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Camaguey moved-up to third place, which they share with Sancti Spiritus and Santiago. Capitalinas at the other side still keep top position with three games lost.
