Regular Season Round 22: Lourdes - Chartres 96-76

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Lourdes-Tarbes and 10th ranked UB Chartres had identical 10-11 record. This time Lourdes-Tarbes used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Chartres 96-76. UB Chartres was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 58-31 second half run of Lourdes-Tarbes. They outrebounded UB Chartres 39-24 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Five Lourdes-Tarbes and four UB Chartres players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lourdes-Tarbes (11-11) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with ALS Basket and St Vallier. UB Chartres lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Vitre and Rennes. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against league's leader Quimper UJAP on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. UB Chartres will play against SAP Vaucluse (#15) in Sorgues and hopes to get back on the winning track.
