Regular Season Round 5: Camaguey - Matanzas 82-64

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Guerreros (3-2) against fifth ranked Tigres (3-2) on Tuesday night. Visiting Guerreros were defeated by Tigres in Camaguey 82-64. The game without a history. Tigres led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Guerreros' 30. They outrebounded Guerreros 22-11. Forward Yoanis Baldo (191-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Julio Sanchez (200-90) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Tigres players scored in double figures. Lazro Sanchez answered with 20 points and the former international guard Yuniskel Molina (185-93) added 10 points in the effort for Guerreros. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tigres moved-up to third place, which they share with Matanzas. Tigres will play against league's leader Villa Clara in Santa Clara in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Guerreros will play at home against Capitalinos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
