Regular Season Round 26: Malbas - BC Lulea 81-77

Top ranked BC Lulea (18-5) recorded its fifth loss in Malmo on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by ninth ranked Malbas (2-20) 81-77. The hosts trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 27-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Malbas shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 63.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was guard Jordan Peltier (193-95) who scored 26 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Danish center Lasse Elbaek (208-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Quinton Upshur (196-93, college: N.Arizona) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Malbas maintains ninth position with 2-20 record. BC Lulea at the other side still keeps top place with five games lost. Malbas are looking forward to face higher ranked Boras Basket (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BC Lulea will play against KFUM Jamtland (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
