Regular Season Round 33: Jiangsu D. - Zhejiang GB 121-116

There was no surprise in Nanjing where 15th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (10-23) was defeated by tenth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (17-16) 121-116 on Wednesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Jiangsu Dragons outrebounded Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank 51-35 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman MarShon Brooks (196-89, college: Providence) who had a triple-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Center Yuanyu Li (206-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Five Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. Jiangsu Dragons' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma) who recorded 39 points (!!!) and the other American import guard Lorenzo Brown (196-90, college: N.Carolina St.) added 29 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Jiangsu Dragons maintains tenth place with 17-16 record. Loser Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank keeps the fifteenth position with 23 games lost. They share it with Fujian QB. Jiangsu Dragons will meet Jiangsu TX (#18) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against Guangzhou and hope to secure a win.
