The game in Lucenec was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Handlova (14-15) played at the court of eighth ranked Lucenec (13-15). Lucenec did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 66-48 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was American forward Aaron Rountree-III (203-93, college: Iona) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Serbian Strahinja Stojacic (197-92) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists. Four Lucenec players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Nenad Milosevic (190-83, agency: 011 Sports) produced 5 points and 7 assists and the former international power forward Peter Sedmak (207-85, agency: 011 Sports) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Handlova's coach Lubomir Ruzicka rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Lucenec have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Lucenec maintains eighth position with 13-15 record. Handlova at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Iskra Svit. Lucenec will meet higher ranked Iskra Svit (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Handlova will play against Levice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
