Regular Season Round 11: Louaize - Champville 81-78

The most exciting game of round 11 in the Pepsi LBL took place in Zouk. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Champville (3-8) to sixth ranked Louaize (6-5) 81-78 on Wednesday evening. The hosts trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 26-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Louaize looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American Travis McKie (201-92, college: Wake Forest, agency: Diamond Sports) who scored 28 points and 8 rebounds. International guard Geron Johnson (190-92, college: Memphis) chipped in a triple-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. American point guard Patrick Rembert (185-89, college: Cal-Irvine) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and the former international forward Bassel Bawji (203-89, college: Tulsa) added 17 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Louaize moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Moutahed. Champville lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Mayrouba. Louaize is looking forward to face higher ranked Al Riyadi (#3) in Beirut in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Champville will play at home against Tadamon (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
