There was a small surprise in La Plata where sixth ranked Gimnasia LP (7-18) beat 6th ranked Petr.Argentino (8-16) 84-78 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-78. Gimnasia LP outrebounded Petr.Argentino 37-24 including 30 on the defensive glass. Power forward Lisandro Villa (198-87) stepped up and scored 29 points and 6 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners and point guard Leonardo La Bella (180-86) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists.
