Regular Season Round 25: Independiente BBC - Mitre Tuc. 77-63

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Mitre Tuc. (6-17) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Independiente BBC (9-17) 77-63 on Wednesday. Independiente BBC looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Center Julian Aprea (209-87) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and swingman Juan-Angel Lopez (190-84, agency: DTMones) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Tirrell Brown (198-93, college: Ouachita Baptist) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Facundo Toia (179-94) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mitre Tuc.'s coach Gabriel Albornoz tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Independiente BBC maintains fifth place with 9-17 record, which they share with Villa San Martin. Mitre Tuc. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with 17 games lost. Independiente BBC will face higher ranked BHY Tiro Federal (#4) in Morteros in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mitre Tuc. will play on the road against Barrio Parque in Cordoba and hope to win that game.
