Regular Season Round 32: Prievidza - Inter Bratislava 64-84

Date: February 8, 2017
The game between Top Four teams took place in Prievidza. One of their biggest challengers host Prievidza (20-7) was smashed by second ranked Inter Bratislava (22-7) 84-64. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Prievidza. Inter Bratislava dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Prievidza's 26. The winners were led by the former international power forward Radoslav Rancik (205-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: BeoBasket) who scored that evening 18 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American point guard James Kinney (187-90, college: San Jose St., agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 17 points. Five Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Even 11 points by American point guard Reger Dowell (185-91, college: Texas Arlington) did not help to save the game for Prievidza. Croatian forward Igor Maric (196-85) added 11 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Inter Bratislava maintains second position with 22-7 record behind leader Kosice. Defending champion Prievidza keeps the third place with seven games lost. Inter Bratislava's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Bratislava Karlovka.
