Regular Season Round 21: Udominate - Visby 101-77

Undefeated leader Udominate delivered the twenty first consecutive victory on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 9th ranked Visby Ladies (7-15) 101-77 in Umea. The game was mostly controlled by Udominate. Visby Ladies was better in fourth quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Udominate dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Visby Ladies' 42 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Visby Ladies 43-30 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Udominate looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Latvian center Zenta Melnika (197-91) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Martina Stalvant (176-89, agency: Two Points) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists. Coach Tamara Ruzic's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Danielle McCray (185-93, college: Mississippi) who recorded 24 points and 9 rebounds and forward Marlene Wallin (175-81) added 19 points respectively. Five Udominate and four Visby Ladies players scored in double figures. Udominate (21-0) have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 21 victories in a row. Loser Visby Ladies keep the ninth position with 15 games lost. Udominate will face IK Eos (#7) in Lund in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Visby Ladies will play at home against KFUM Ostersund and hope to win that game.
