Regular Season Round 32: GECR Indalo - San Lorenzo 77-79

Fourth-ranked GECR Indalo (15-16) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked San Lorenzo (23-7) in Comodoro R.. The visitors from Almagra managed to secure only two-point victory 79-77. However their fans expected easier game. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-12. But GECR Indalo won second period 23-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded GECR Indalo 35-20 including 23 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Santiago Scala (186-91) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and American center Jerome Meyinsse (207-88, college: Virginia, agency: Stealth Sport) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five San Lorenzo players scored in double figures. Dominican center Eloy Vargas (211-88, college: Kentucky, agency: Duran International) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and the former international point guard Nicolas De-los-Santos (180-88) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. San Lorenzo have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 23-7 record. GECR Indalo at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Libertad S.. San Lorenzo will play against league's second-placed Estudiantes C. in Concordia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. GECR Indalo will play on the road against Obras Basket in Buenos Aires and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
