Leader Shanghai Sharks delivered the twenty eighth victory on Friday night. This time they beat 7th ranked Shandong Bulls (20-14) 94-78 in Jinan. Shanghai Sharks had a 38-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) scored 28 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and French Guerschon Yabusele (201-95) chipped in 23 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Jason Thompson (211-86, college: Rider) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 20 rebounds and the former international center Ke Wu (209-90) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Shandong Bulls players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shanghai Sharks have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 28-6 record, which they share with Xinjiang FT. Loser Shandong Bulls keep the seventh place with 14 games lost. Shanghai Sharks will meet TianJin Steel (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Shandong Bulls will play against Fujian (#15) and hope to secure a win.
