Regular Season Round 17: TTU - Rapla 85-78

There was no surprise in Tallinn where 5th ranked Rapla (10-6) was defeated by third ranked TTU (10-7) 85-78. Rapla was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 49-39 second half run of TTU. They made 24-of-29 charity shots (82.8 percent) during the game. 29 personal fouls committed by Rapla helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Sten Olmre (192-95) nailed 37 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and the former international Toomas Raadik (202-90, agency: Promotex) accounted for 10 points and 9 rebounds. Dutch center Thomas van-der-Mars (208-90, college: Portland) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and international Martin Paasoja (191-93) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Rapla in the defeat. Despite that victory TTU went down to fifth position due to points difference. Rapla lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. TTU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tallinn .
