The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Fukuoka Rizing (21-3) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Tokyo HT (14-10) 92-89. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Fukuoka Rizing. American power forward Edward Morris (204-84, college: Pittsburg St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and point guard Yusuke Ikeda (180-88) chipped in 22 points and 4 assists. At the losing side Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and forward Takuya Komoda (190-87) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tokyo HT maintains fourth place with 14-10 record. Fukuoka Rizing at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Tokyo HT will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fukuoka Rizing will play at home against Tokyo Cinq R. and is hoping to win this game.
