Regular Season Round 18: Provence Basket - Boulazac 75-57

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Provence Basket as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Provence Basket defeated 11th ranked Boulazac Basket in Fos-sur-Mer 75-57. The game without a history. Provence Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Boulazac Basket's 34. American-Nigerian Derrick Obasohan (198-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: BeoBasket) notched 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and American swingman Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle) supported him with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Provence Basket players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 8 rebounds by American power forward Jarvis Williams (198-93, college: Murray St.) did not help to save the game for Boulazac Basket. Aurelien Salmon (202-87) added 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Boulazac Basket at the other side dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with 5 other teams. Boulazac Basket will play next round against Chorale de Roanne trying to get back on the winning streak. Provence Basket will try to continue on its current victory against seventeenth ranked SO Maritime Boulogne at Boulogne-sur-Mer.
