The game in Bydgoszcz was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Energa Torun (13-5) played at the court of 5th ranked Artego Bydg. (11-7). Energa Torun managed to secure a 5-point victory 76-71 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Artego Bydg.. The game was dominated by American players. Swingman Darxia Morris (172-89, college: UCLA) scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Kelley Cain (198-89, college: Tennessee) chipped in 17 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Denesha Stallworth (190-92, college: Kentucky, agency: LBM Management) with 26 points and 8 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and Bernice Mosby (186-84, college: Baylor) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Energa Torun have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with AZS AJP GW. Loser Artego Bydg. keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with CCC Polkowice. Energa Torun will meet at home league's second-placed Wisla Can-Pack in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Artego Bydg. will play against JAS FBG in Sosnowiec and hope to secure a win.
