Regular Season Round 21: RPC Anderlecht - Giants B 93-68

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked RPC Anderlecht (6-13) crushed at home higher ranked Giants B (9-11) 93-68 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-68. RPC Anderlecht shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. It was a good game for the former international point guard Geoffrey Hockins (188-88) who led his team to a victory with 20 points. Power forward Nicolas Neskens (201-84, agency: Promotex) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Center Bert Van-Den-Broek (201-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Killian Van-Den-Langenbergh (197-98) added 8 points in the effort for Giants B. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for RPC Anderlecht. Newly promoted RPC Anderlecht maintains twelfth place with 6-13 record. Loser Giants B keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. RPC Anderlecht will face higher ranked Oxaco (#3) in Boechout in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
