Regular Season Round 14: Stingers - Rebels 70-59

Very expected game when 12th ranked Rebels (1-13) were defeated on the road by third ranked Stingers (9-5) 70-59 on Saturday. Stingers forced 20 Rebels turnovers. Anthony Whylly had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Devon Ferguson chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Stingers players scored in double figures. Anthony Williams responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 21 rebounds and 5 blocks and point guard Rashard Williams (183, college: Fisk) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists and 7 steals. Stingers have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Stingers went down to fourth position due to points difference, which they share with Shockers. Rebels lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
