No shocking result in a game when third ranked C.Adelantados (14-5) crushed 14th ranked Olimpico 64 (2-16) in San Cristobal 82-52 on Saturday. The game without a history. C.Adelantados led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Olimpico 64 to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Olimpico 64 45-16 including a 34-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American guard Tyonna Outland (173-92, college: CSU Bakersfield) who led her team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import power forward Aulani Sinclair (186-90, college: Indiana) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four C.Adelantados players scored in double figures. C.Adelantados' coach felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Maria Nunez (175-90) replied with 13 points and power forward Julia Rabadan (180-86) added 10 points in the effort for Olimpico 64. C.Adelantados have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group B with 14-5 record having just one point less than leader Alcobendas. Loser Olimpico 64 keeps the fourteenth place with 16 games lost. C.Adelantados will face Promete (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Olimpico 64 will play against Valencia (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
