Regular Season Round 19: Andorra II - Igualada 71-78

Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Igualada (7-9) beat on the road 10th ranked Andorra II (5-11) 78-71 on Saturday. Igualada forced 22 Andorra II turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. It was a great evening for Adria Gual (185-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points. Center Eduard Tejero (195-92) helped adding 10 points. Igualada's coach Jordi Marti used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side Nil Bria (195-97) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and center Cinto Gabriel (199-87) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Andorra II players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Igualada. They moved-up to seventh place in Group C-B, which they share with Valls Nutrion and Vive El Masnou. Loser Andorra II keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Igualada will face Sitges (#13) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Andorra II will play against Pardinyes-L. in Lleida and hope to win that game.
