The game between Top Four teams took place in Ishikawa. Second ranked host Kanazawa Sam. (20-2) defeated 3rd placed Otsuka A. (14-8) 65-52. American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) stepped up and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and guard Tsukino Tsukino (178-88) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) responded with 13 points and point guard Kodama Takashi (166-92) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the seventeenth consecutive win for Kanazawa Sam.. They maintain second place with 20-2 record behind leader Fukuoka Rizing. Loser Otsuka A. keeps the third position with eight games lost. Kanazawa Sam. will face Aisin AW (#5) in Aichi in the next round. Otsuka A.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo Big Blue.
