The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Moncalieri as it allowed them to take a leadership position in B. Moncalieri edged 4th ranked USE Basket at home 71-69. The winners were led by the former international power forward Francesco Conti (205-83) who scored that evening 10 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Daniele Merletto (175-93) supported him with 14 points and 4 assists. Four Moncalieri players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by guard Daniele Mariotti (186-84) did not help to save the game for USE Basket. Power forward Michele Bei (200-90) added 15 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. As mentioned above they took over a top position. USE Basket at the other side dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. USE Basket will play next round against Piombino trying to get back on the winning streak. Moncalieri will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Omegna on the road.
